Sequel to 'With Friends Like These'

Halloween. With a killer stalking teen drivers, locals are cancelling Halloween activities, and it isn't setting well with those who authorities wish to protect.

Like most of the fans, I was also not happy with the way KFTLC ended. So this story puts the beginning to my personal post-Requiem series, said in other words, my own 5th season. This first tale is an Introduction: to the life of Peter Caine after he takes the brands, and to what happened to the rest of the gang since then (or to some of them, actually; the remaining will be revealed in the next stories to come). Peter has already learned a lot, both as a priest and as a sifu, and is going to learn more than he is ready to in that particular story. To the outside world he's doing just fine as a priest, but things are not as perfect as they may seem. Of course the story also marks the beginning of a new adventure which will have many and lasting consequences, both good and bad. It also reminds us all that there's no such thing as coincidence. The story introduces old and well-loved names, as well as my original characters. And the whole thing is held together by what KFTLC was all about: the complicated but strong connection between a father and a son.

As a serial killer stalks Chinatown, Peter is having a meltdown, and a mysterious woman is planning Caine's doom.

Kermit thinks he's losing his mind when he sees a woman from his past he believes to be dead and turns to Caine for help.
