Like most of the fans, I was also not happy with the way KFTLC ended. So this story puts the beginning to my personal post-Requiem series, said in other words, my own 5th season. This first tale is an Introduction: to the life of Peter Caine after he takes the brands, and to what happened to the rest of the gang since then (or to some of them, actually; the remaining will be revealed in the next stories to come). Peter has already learned a lot, both as a priest and as a sifu, and is going to learn more than he is ready to in that particular story. To the outside world he's doing just fine as a priest, but things are not as perfect as they may seem. Of course the story also marks the beginning of a new adventure which will have many and lasting consequences, both good and bad. It also reminds us all that there's no such thing as coincidence. The story introduces old and well-loved names, as well as my original characters. And the whole thing is held together by what KFTLC was all about: the complicated but strong connection between a father and a son.

Paul believes everyone would have lived a better life if he had never been born. When someone shows him that reality, it is not what he expected.

Last in the "Peter/Lenora" Series. Peter and his Father go below for the community's annual Winterfest celebration and Lenora finally gives Peter his answer. However, an old enemy reappears to try and destroy everything.

After his regeneration after the Time War, a hurt and grieving Ninth Doctor ends up landing in a morgue of all places because of what TARDIS has discovered. Who he finds there not only gives him a reason to live, but also changes the destiny of one child's life.
