I honestly loved this. The emotional whiplash—protect, panic, jealousy, regret—worked so well, and it never felt melodramatic, just raw.

I had no idea Caine and his son were so well-suited for crossover fiction. As this story proves, thank you!
Peter and his emotional world ... Maybe Caine should tell him again that he needs to take a deep breath before his anger erupts... I would have also liked to know how Bobby Sixkiller would have reacted to Caine. (My absolute favorite character in "Renegade"...)
