A rewrite of the episode, Dark Vision, except that in the middle of the chain of startling visions, Detective Peter Caine learns his long-dead enigmatic father is still alive.

Like most of the fans, I was also not happy with the way KFTLC ended. So this story puts the beginning to my personal post-Requiem series, said in other words, my own 5th season. This first tale is an Introduction: to the life of Peter Caine after he takes the brands, and to what happened to the rest of the gang since then (or to some of them, actually; the remaining will be revealed in the next stories to come). Peter has already learned a lot, both as a priest and as a sifu, and is going to learn more than he is ready to in that particular story. To the outside world he's doing just fine as a priest, but things are not as perfect as they may seem. Of course the story also marks the beginning of a new adventure which will have many and lasting consequences, both good and bad. It also reminds us all that there's no such thing as coincidence. The story introduces old and well-loved names, as well as my original characters. And the whole thing is held together by what KFTLC was all about: the complicated but strong connection between a father and a son.

Last in the "Peter/Lenora" Series. Peter and his Father go below for the community's annual Winterfest celebration and Lenora finally gives Peter his answer. However, an old enemy reappears to try and destroy everything.

A mercenary mission goes wrong for Kermit Griffin and he contemplates the unthinkable. First, he calls an old friend for help but a stranger turns out to have the best advice. Years later, Kermit meets that stranger again under unique circumstances and finally has a chance to say "Thank You."

Five years after the events in the episode "Target" and two years after Peter has taken the brands, the Brujo comes back for Peter and has even darker plans for his unwilling instrument. Kwai Chang Caine cannot stop this alone and one of the people he needs to help is far away but, a totally unexpected arrival in the city turns out to be the key to Peter's complete salvation and the final destruction of the sorcerer.
